Inbiomed is a private research foundation dedicated to biomedical research and regenerative medicine, located at the Gipuzkoa Science and Technology Park. Our research is focused on the biology of adult, embryonic and induced pluripotent (iPSCs) stem cells with a pecial interest in their application in the fields of cancer, hematological and neurodegenerative diseases. We carry on translational research in order to bring our results to the patient's bed as soon as possible.
At present Inbiomed has a strong commitment to technological development and is translating its research results to the market. Thus, Inbiomed has created Inbiobank Stem Cell Bank and Inbiomed Pharma Laboratories.
Key staff involved in EBiSC
César Trigueros, PhD (Scientific Director of Inbiomed) – Principal Investigator of the Hematopoietic and Mesenchymal Stem Cells laboratory of Inbiomed.
Dr Trigueros has a well-established background in stem cell research, with several years of experience in the identification and differentiation of hematopoietic precursors and iPSCs. He has been working in Inbiomed since 2004, being the Scientific Director of the institute and Director of the stem cell bank.
Marc Bossé, PhD (Staff scientist) – at the Somatosensory Neuron & Pain Laboratory in Inbiomed.
Extensive research experience in human pluripotent stem cells focused in studies of human development, such as the role of Wnt molecules in hematopoietic differentiation and characterization of hESC variants with neoplastic progression. Participant of European collaborative project FP7 (CARE-MI), in-charge of developing a large-scale cGMP production of human adult cardiac cells for phase I-II clinical trial of an allogeneic cell therapy. Present work consists to study early development of human primary sensory neurons of the peripheral dorsal root ganglia using iPSCs and human embryonic stem cell.
